This quickstart is for the browser version of Claude. It does not use a CLI, desktop configuration, or a local stdio server.
Claude custom connectors are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. Free accounts can add one custom connector. For Team and Enterprise organizations, an Owner or Primary Owner must add the connector before members can connect it.
Individual accounts
Section titled “Individual accounts”-
In Claude, open Customize → Connectors.

Choose +, then Add custom connector.

Enter GoodMetrics as the connector name.

Enter the following remote MCP server URL:
https://data.goodmetrics.io/mcp -
Leave the OAuth Client ID and OAuth Client Secret fields empty.

Choose Add, then choose Connect.

Sign in to GoodMetrics, review the read-only
analytics:readpermission, and choose Allow Access.
GoodMetrics publishes the OAuth metadata Claude needs, so you do not need to create an API key or OAuth credentials.
Team and Enterprise accounts
Section titled “Team and Enterprise accounts”An Owner or Primary Owner must first:
- Open Organization settings → Connectors.
- Choose Add, hover over Custom, and select Web.
- Enter GoodMetrics and
https://data.goodmetrics.io/mcp. - Leave the optional OAuth Client ID and OAuth Client Secret fields empty.
- Choose Add.
Each member can then open Customize → Connectors, find the GoodMetrics connector marked Custom, choose Connect, and complete the GoodMetrics OAuth flow.
Enable it in a conversation
Section titled “Enable it in a conversation”-
Start a new conversation.

Open the + menu in the lower-left corner and choose Connectors.

Turn on GoodMetrics for the conversation.

Ask:
List the GoodMetrics sites I can access.
After Claude returns your sites, try:
Show the current active visitors for example.com.Replace example.com with one of your connected domains. See Example Prompts for more ideas.
